Why Healing Spaces Need More Art
(And why it should be accessible to everyone)
I’ve always felt that art should be used in a healing and energetic capacity - not just to fill a wall, but to actually change the way a room feels.
This is what I strive to do with every single piece I create: infuse it with intention so it radiates calm, joy, and love into the space it calls home.
When you walk into a room, you can feel it, can’t you?
Some spaces just hold you gently — like a soft blanket for your soul.
Others… well, they can feel a bit flat, or even heavy.
One of the fastest, most beautiful ways to shift that energy is through art — not just any art, but art created with healing in mind.
Art is more than decoration
The way I see it, healing art is a little bit like herbal tea for your walls - it’s warm, intentional, and made to support you from the inside out.
Every brushstroke carries the energy it was created with. If the artist paints with love, calm, joy or hope, that feeling stays in the work. Hang it in a room, and it quietly does its thing - lifting moods, softening edges, making the air feel a little lighter.
It’s not magic (although sometimes it feels that way). It’s intention. It’s colour. It’s the energy you pour in when you create something for the purpose of healing.
Why healing spaces need healing art
Places like spas, yoga studios, massage rooms, therapy offices - they’re all designed to help people feel better. But too often, the walls are left bare, or covered with generic stock prints that don’t really speak.
Imagine walking into a massage room where the colours on the wall are chosen specifically to help you relax - layered textures that draw you in, soft tones that lower your shoulders a few inches just by looking at them.
Imagine a therapy office with an artwork created to hold space for heavy conversations and to help people feel safe while they’re having them.
Imagine a hospital waiting room with art that’s intentionally made to soothe anxiety and bring a little spark of hope in the middle of uncertainty.
These spaces deserve art that works alongside the treatments and therapies — not just to look nice, but to actually support the energy of the room.
Energy and intention are everything
When I create a piece, I’m not just thinking about colour theory or composition (although I love those, too). I’m thinking about how this will feel to the person who sits with it.
Sometimes I’ll pull oracle cards for colour inspiration. Sometimes I’ll work from a vision the client already has in their heart. Sometimes it’s about matching the art to the natural energy of the space so the whole room feels “in tune.”
The point is, the art is made with purpose - to spread joy, calm, love or whatever it is the space needs most.
Making it accessible
I believe it should be part of everyday spaces — from private homes to public wellness centres — because everyone deserves to feel the benefits of art made with care and intention.
That’s why I create both one-off originals and smaller, more affordable works. It’s why I offer commissions at different sizes and budgets. And it’s why I sometimes pair pieces with crystals, aura sprays and Feng Shui placement guides - so even a single artwork can feel like a whole healing experience.
The ripple effect
Here’s the thing - when you fill a space with love, calm, and beauty, it doesn’t stop with the person who owns the art. Every single person who walks into that room feels it.
A massage therapist’s client.
A yoga teacher’s students.
A family sitting down for dinner.
A patient waiting to see a doctor.
Art spreads energy quietly, but powerfully. And when that energy is good? It’s contagious in the best possible way.
Bringing this into your space
I’ve always felt that art should be lived with — that it should work for the space it’s in and for the people who share it. This belief is at the core of my practice, and it’s what guides every commission and original I create.
If you’d like to invite this kind of energy into your home, studio, spa, or treatment room, there are a few ways we can work together:
Browse Originals & Limited Editions — unique, one-off works ready to hang and transform your space.
Commission Your Own — we’ll co-create a piece that’s made for your colours, your energy, and your room’s purpose.
Pair it for the Full Experience — add crystals, aura sprays, and a simple Feng Shui placement guide to help your artwork radiate its highest potential.
Whether you’re ready to fall in love with something that’s already painted, or you want to collaborate on something deeply personal, my goal is always the same:
to create art that feels good to be around — every single day. 💛
